Program Description:
This program focusses the introduction to Arabic literature and learning of Arabic language. The importance and need of this discipline in Pakistan goes without saying. The aim is to make student understand Islam consciously, with mindful efforts. This degree program will prepare graduates with better Arabic communication skills; leading Pakistani professionals to create better connection with the Arab world and the Islamic ummah.
GIFT’s BS degree programs in the long-run will lead students to peruse their higher learning in different disciplines of Arabic literature. This program is designed, in line with the international standards, to prepare graduates in the Arabic language and literature, in contemporary perspective.
Program Objectives
- To prepare young scholars for better learning at graduate levels in the discipline of Arabic language, thought, history and civilization.
- To give students a fair understanding of Arabic language; that is a key to understand the meaning and message of not only the Holy Qur’an, but the primary sources of Islamic thoughts also.
- To improve academic standard in this region through the generation, assimilation and dissemination of knowledge about religions, cultures and the whole social fabric of the society.
- To make a significant and meaning-full contribution towards the educational betterment of Pakistan through development of the human resources.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria
- 12 years education with FA / FSc securing minimum second division (in annual system).
- Minimum 45% or equivalent marks in intermediate or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant level NTS test is also acceptable for admissions.
