5 Days Professional Food Workshop Conducted by Department of Home Economics, SFADA

A five days Professional Food Workshop was conducted by the Department of Home Economics at its Food Lab. The workshop was specially arranged for the final year students to create awareness about the food hygiene, professional food preparation techniques and modern presentation methods.

The workshop was conducted by the seasoned Executive Chef of Mughal Mahal Hotel, Mr. Muhammad Illyas. He is a master chef with a vast experience in hotel industry and has served many reputed organizations.

The workshop covered very informative and stimulating sessions for the students, in which they learned food preservation, preparation and serving techniques. Different cuisines including Continental, Chinese, Mughlai, Snacks and Lahori Breakfast were prepared in interactive sessions, which were a delight to the eyes as well as the taste-buds.

The workshop was supervised by Mr. Waseem Ullah Dar, Registrar GIFT University, and Mr. Farooq Jalal Pasha, Head of SFADA & Department of Home Economics. They admired students’ efforts and passion for excellence in this industry. They also thanked Mr. Muhammad Illays for his insightful guidance to the participants.
