School of Engineering & Applied Sciences (SEAS) in collaboration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) arranged a 2 days workshop on the topic of “Outcome Based Education (OBE)” by Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran (UET Lahore). Since the PEC & Washington Accord (WA) already joined hands to improve the quality of education in the signatory countries. It is pertinent to note that admission into WA is so rigorous that only 18 countries have got this status in the last 25 years and Pakistan is one of them.
Faculty SEAS, students, and various faculty members from Rachna College of Engineering & Technology, UMT Sialkot, and the University of Gujrat have also attended this workshop. The presenter shed light on expectations of PEC from EE graduates of any institute and gave important suggestions. Moreover, in this modern era, Outcome Based Education is the only way forward for getting solutions to complex engineering problems along with the flare of uplifting the standards of education by appreciating modern teaching methods in the HEIs.
It was indeed an informative & inspirational session for all the participants. In the closing ceremony, Dr. Fakhar Lodhi presented a certificate and Dr. Ziad Nayyar (Dean SEAS) & Dr. Aqeel Aslam (HoD EE) presented the shield to Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran as a token of appreciation.
