Program Objective:

  • To be able to independently diagnose problems and offer workable solutions – meeting the needs of senior managerial positions.
  • To enable them to conceive managerial problems with relevant solutions by making them independent researchers.

Program Description: The MS program offers a degree in core management areas with a special emphasis on identification and solution of issues pertaining to marketing, finance, human resource management. The coursework for the MS program in Management Sciences will introduce the scholars with classic and contemporary theories developed by management science researchers, across the globe. The coursework consists of 10 courses which will be offered to be offered in four semesters. The program offers 10 -12 streams of professional elective courses offered in evening and weekend format. Students will also have opportunity to take speciality executive certificate courses during the regular semesters. The content will proceed with an understanding of the current management thought, towards developing a skill to conduct high class applied research in the areas pertaining to marketing, finance, strategy and human resource management.

The MS graduates are expected to work with leading national and multinational organizations in order to serve their research needs.

Areas of Specialization:

The coursework for the MS program in Management Science will introduce the scholars with classic and contemporary theories developed by management science researchers, across the globe. The coursework consists of 10 courses which will be offered to be offered in four semesters. The content will proceed with an understanding of the current management thought, towards developing a skill to conduct high class applied research in the areas of marketing, finance, and human resource management. The degree of MS in Management Science essentially offers specialization in three core areas of Marketing, Finance and Human Resources Management.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for admission in the MS program, the candidate must have;

  • Completed 16 years of relevant degree, recognized by higher education commission, Pakistan. However, the students waiting for results may be granted a provisional admission but they have to provide the final transcript and the degrees before appearing in the final exams of first semester.
  • Passed the previous degree with a cumulative GPA score of 2.5/4.0 (under a semester system) or a second class Masters degree (earned under annual system).
  • Passed the GAT-General, conducted by NTS at the time of admission and must be valid. However, a provisional admission can be granted which will be confirmed by the university after the candidate passes GAT-General test conducted by NTS.
  • Qualified a panel interview where the candidate will be assessed on the basis of his/her command over the subject and a clear vision for research.
  • Only those who meet the minimum eligibility criteria and clear written and oral tests are recommended for admission.

Enquiries
The Admission Office at GIFT University deals with the enquiries concerning admissions. The prospective candidates are advised to consult this office during working hours of the University.

General Criteria to Apply

  • The candidate fulfills the eligibility conditions of the program.
  • The candidate must have earned the eligibility qualification from a recognized educational institution.
  • Good proficiency in English language.
  • The candidate has not been debarred on disciplinary grounds during his earlier educational career.

Admission Application

  • Applications for admissions are invited through advertisement in the media. The prospective candidates are advised to obtain the University Prospectus, Application Form and Admission Schedule from the Admissions Office. They may make queries to the officer on duty for further information.
  • Admission Application should be submitted together with all required documents within the prescribed time limit in the Student Affairs Centre.
  • After admission test and interview, the Admission Committee will advise the successful candidates to deposit fee and other dues in the Accounts Office within the specified time limit.
  • On payment of fee and dues, the Accounts Office will issue the Registration Number to the candidate at least two days prior to the commencement of the semester.
