Program Introduction:

Industrial/Organizational Psychology Program prepares students for careers in areas of human resources, training, management and organization development, in which they can apply psychological principles to problems that arise in a wide variety of organization settings.

The importance and need of this discipline in a university studies, goes without saying. One of the most densely populated regions, the industrial city of Gujranwala has its own peculiarities to highlight the need of BS Industrial and Organizational Psychology Program, to be offered. GIFT’s degree program for under graduates, in the long-run will lead students to peruse MPhil in the discipline. This program is designed to prepare professionals at graduate level in the discipline of Organizational and Industrial Psychology.

 

Program Objectives:

  1. One of the goals of I/O Psychology Graduate programs is to help students develop a versatile skill set so they can use scientific methods to improve performance and productivity at both the employee and corporate levels.
  2. Students could develop an ability to problem solve critical workplace challenges faced by individuals, groups or businesses.
  3. To share information and knowledge with various segments of society on different professional forums as a tool of lifelong learning and improvement in human capital.
  4. To connect the basic principles of I/O psychology to personnel and human resources management within the organization.
  5. To inculcate psychology skills in young dynamic I/O psychologists of the country.

  1. 12 years education with FA / FSc securing minimum CGPA of 2.5/second division (in annual system)
  2. Minimum 45% or equivalent marks in intermediate or equivalent qualification.
  3. Relevant level NTS test is also acceptable for admissions.

Enquiries

The Admission Office at GIFT University deals with the enquiries concerning admissions. The prospective candidates are advised to consult this office during working hours of the University.

 

General Criteria to Apply

  • The candidate fulfills the eligibility conditions of the program.
  • The candidate must have earned the eligibility qualification from a recognized educational institution.
  • Good proficiency in English language.
  • The candidate has not been debarred on disciplinary grounds during his earlier educational career.

Admission Application

  • Applications for admissions are invited through advertisement in the media. The prospective candidates are advised to obtain the University Prospectus, Application Form and Admission Schedule from the Admissions Office. They may make queries to the officer on duty for further information.
  • Admission Application should be submitted together with all required documents within the prescribed time limit in the Student Affairs Centre Admissions Office.
  • Online Applicants can apply just by filling the required fields of Online Application Form. Their documents will be verified at the day of admissions test and interview.
  • After admission test and interview, the Admission Committee will advise the successful candidates to deposit fee and other dues in the Accounts Office within the specified time limit.
  • On payment of fee and dues, the Accounts Office will issue the Registration Number to the candidate. at least two days prior to the commencement of the semester.
