Program Description:

This program focusses the introduction to Arabic Literature and learning of Arabic Language. The importance and need of this discipline in Pakistan goes without saying. The aim is to make student understand Islam consciously, with mindful efforts. This degree program will prepare graduates with better Arabic communication skills; leading Pakistani professionals to create better connection with the Arab world and the Islamic Ummah.

GIFT’s BS degree programs in the long-run will lead students to peruse their higher learning in different disciplines of Arabic Literature. This program is designed, in line with the international standards, to prepare graduates in the Arabic language and literature, in contemporary perspective.

 

Program Objectives

 

  • To prepare young scholars for better learning at graduate levels in the discipline of Arabic Language, thought, history and civilization.
  • To give students a fair understanding of Arabic language; that is a key to understand the meaning and message of not only the Holy Qur’an, but the primary sources of Islamic thoughts also.
  • To improve academic standard in this region through the generation, assimilation, and dissemination of knowledge about religions, cultures and the whole social fabric of the society.
  • To make a significant and meaning-full contribution towards the educational betterment of Pakistan through development of the human resources.
 

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

The University welcomes applications from students who have successfully completed up to Grade 12 schooling with minimum of 45% score. The more specific criteria follow:

  • Relevant level NTS test is also acceptable for admissions
  • FSc (Pre-Engineering / Pre-Medical)
  • Intermediate with Arts or General Science or Commerce
  • Advanced Levels (A’ Levels)
  • Any other equivalent grade 12 degree approved by the Ministry of Education.

Enquiries

The Admission Office at GIFT University deals with the enquiries concerning admissions. The prospective candidates are advised to consult this office during working hours of the University.

 

General Criteria to Apply

  • The candidate fulfills the eligibility conditions of the program.
  • The candidate must have earned the eligibility qualification from a recognized educational institution.
  • Good proficiency in English language.
  • The candidate has not been debarred on disciplinary grounds during his earlier educational career.
 

Admission Application

  • Applications for admissions are invited through advertisement in the media. The prospective candidates are advised to obtain the University Prospectus, Application Form and Admission Schedule from the Admissions Office. They may make queries to the officer on duty for further information.
  • Admission Application should be submitted together with all required documents within the prescribed time limit in the Student Affairs Centre Admissions Office.
  • Online Applicants can apply just by filling the required fields of Online Application Form. Their documents will be verified at the day of admissions test and interview.
  • After admission test and interview, the Admission Committee will advise the successful candidates to deposit fee and other dues in the Accounts Office within the specified time limit.
  • On payment of fee and dues, the Accounts Office will issue the Registration Number to the candidate. at least two days prior to the commencement of the semester.
