Program Objectives:

The program provides:

  1. To prepare young scholars for better learning at graduate and post graduate levels in the discipline of Islamic culture, history and civilization, realizing the national goals of progressive and sustainable society.
  2. To improve academic standard in this region through the generation, assimilation, and dissemination of knowledge about religion, culture and the whole social fabric of the society.
  3. To make a significant and meaning-full contribution towards the educational and social betterment of Pakistan through development of the human resources.
  4. Integrating academic, research and development activities in the larger national interest and comprehensive orientation of Islamic Studies students.
 

Program Description:

This program focuses the learning of Islamic culture, history and civilization. The importance and need of this discipline in an ideological country of Pakistan, goes without saying. The aim is to make student understand Islam consciously, with mindful efforts. GIFT’s Associate degree programs in the long-run will lead students to peruse their higher learning in different disciplines of social sciences. This program is designed to prepare graduates in the disciplines of Islamic educational and organizational sociology in contemporary perspective, thus fostering community development; to make possible achieving the national goals of progressive and sustainable society.

 

Career Opportunities:

One of the most densely populated regions, Gujranwala has its own peculiarities to highlight the need of BS Psychology program, to be offered. There is no single university around, that may offer such a popular degree especially for young promising girls. GIFT’s degree program for under-grads, in the long-run will lead students to peruse higher studies. This program is designed to prepare professionals at graduate levels in the disciplines of education, psychology and community development; thus, achieving the national goals of progressive and sustainable society.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

The University welcomes applications from students who have successfully completed up to Grade 12 schooling. The more specific criteria follow

  1. F. A / F. Sc. (Pre-Engineering / Pre-Medical)/ Intermediate with General Science/Computer Science / Commerce, with minimum of 45% score.
  2. Advanced Levels (A’ Levels) Or any other equivalent degree approved by the Ministry of Education.

Note: The students fulfilling either of the above mentioned requirements will then be required to appear in a test designed by the University. The short listed candidates will be made to appear in an interview and students clearing that interview would be selected.

Enquiries

The Admission Office at GIFT University deals with the enquiries concerning admissions. The prospective candidates are advised to consult this office during working hours of the University.

 

General Criteria to Apply

  • The candidate fulfills the eligibility conditions of the program.
  • The candidate must have earned the eligibility qualification from a recognized educational institution.
  • Good proficiency in English language.
  • The candidate has not been debarred on disciplinary grounds during his earlier educational career.

Admission Application

  • Applications for admissions are invited through advertisement in the media. The prospective candidates are advised to obtain the University Prospectus, Application Form and Admission Schedule from the Admissions Office. They may make queries to the officer on duty for further information.
  • Admission Application should be submitted together with all required documents within the prescribed time limit in the Student Affairs Centre Admissions Office.
  • Online Applicants can apply just by filling the required fields of Online Application Form. Their documents will be verified at the day of admissions test and interview.
  • After admission test and interview, the Admission Committee will advise the successful candidates to deposit fee and other dues in the Accounts Office within the specified time limit.
  • On payment of fee and dues, the Accounts Office will issue the Registration Number to the candidate. at least two days prior to the commencement of the semester.
