GIFT University Event Management Society (GEMS) arranged Esperenza 2017, a grand farewell party to commemorate the departure of fresh graduates. It was a celebration to mark the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. The Rector, the Registrar, Deans and Heads of Departments, members of faculty and management, and a huge crowd of students were present at the occasion.
The program featured various captivating stage performances including music, live singing, karaoke, skits and poetry etc. which actively involved the audience as well. A number of titles were given to the students and teachers and the overwhelmed graduates expressed their deep attachment to the institution. The whole community was full of zeal and zest as the rock stars of GIFT enthusiastically reminisced the golden times of their lives at the university.
Speaking on the occasion, the Rector expressed his best wishes for the outgoing batch. He also appreciated the relentless efforts of GEMS team for the successful event and admired their participation in extra-curricular activities in conjunction with their studies. The memorable evening concluded with a delicious farewell dinner.
The students of SAFADA participated in the ‘Fashion Talent Show’ at ‘Runway Dubai Fashion Show’. Runway Dubai is the leading international fashion show platform in the Middle East. The Fashion talent Contest was held at Sofitel the Palm Hotel, Dubai.The two students from GIFT University, Mahmood-ur-Rehman and Ayesha Jabeen have represented Pakistan at this event. These students were selected after screening of their concepts and interviews.
This is the first time that Pakistan is being represented at Runway Dubai Fashion Show. Mehmood-ur-Rehman and Ayesha Jabeen competed with the fashion designers from India, Iraq, Fiji, Dubai, Jordan, Philippines, Bhutan, Palestine and Syria. The team from GIFT University worked hard for this competition and developed highly stylish and pleasing garments.
The participants gave an amazing performance in this competition and put the audience at awe with their skills at garments designing and their fashion sense. The performance was witnessed by the media, international designers, Dubai dignitaries and celebrities. The jurors praised the garments of the competitors and appreciated the efforts of the young designers. The winners of the Fashion Talent Contest will be announced at the end of Runway Dubai Fashion Show.
GIFT University wishes good luck to Mehmood-ur-Rehhman and Ayesha Jabeen for this contest and hopes that more such talented students will come up to show their skills to the world and make Pakistan proud.
The students of GIFT University gave a gift of more than 100 blood of bags to the patients of Thalassemia , Hemophilia and Blood Cancer. A Blood Donation Camp was held at GIFT University with the help of GIFT Blood Donation Society in collaboration with Sundas Foundation.
Dr. Sarfaraz Khan from Sundas foundation was present on campus to encourage the students for blood donation. The enthusiasm of the students was worth appreciating as many students volunteered.
The camp was held at a crucial time that is right before Ramazan, as there is a lack of donations during it. This act of heroism will save lives of people who will need blood during this holy month.

Creativity was in the air as SFADA students displayed their mid-exam projects for Draping Course. They were required to design and create complete draping of any kind of dress using newspapers (junk material) to create experimental wearable outfit in any category. They displayed their skills in overall look of draping, technicalities of draping method, and experimentation to create surface with newspaper. The budding designers were highly appreciated for their creativity which radiated throughout the campus.

GIFT University Home Economics Department arranged “National Foods Cooking Competition” in collaboration with National Foods Ltd. on December 09, 2016.
It was a great way to unite the University through the shared passion for food. The idea was to showcase students’ culinary talents, time management, team work and creativity in cooking. The event featured a lot of games and fun activities for the participants. Contestants who won over the taste buds were awarded with gift hampers and exciting prizes.
