Founded (August 2001) |

GIFT University was founded by Mr. Muhammad Anwar Dar in August 2001. The earth breaking ceremony of the university building was performed by Haji Aziz-ul-Rehman on August 11, 2001. |

Inauguration (2002) |

|
|
The main building of the campus opened on 1st July 2002 and the University was formally inaugurated by the Honorable Governor of the Punjab, Lt. Gen (R) Khalid Maqbool on 30th September 2002. |

GIFT University is a privately owned University. It is chartered by the Government of the Punjab vide Act No: XIV dated June 2004 and recognized by HEC. |

There are 40 Lecture Theaters in GIFT University which are provided with all the required learning aids like theatrical seating, sound system, overhead projectors, multimedia projectors etc. |

Computer Labs |

GIFT University has 5 Computer Labs which are equipped with state of the art IT facilities such as latest Pentium computers, modern computer softwares and online access to internet. Students have free and open access to these IT facilities. |

Library |

The library has a stock of more than 10,000 academic and 500 reference books. The library also has subscription of 12 newspapers and 27 professional Journals. |
